Wittnauer, a brand mostly associated with the importation of Longines watches into the U.S., also produced a series of watches including this Super Compressor. The Super Compressor case was designed and developed by Piquerez, and it included two crowns, an inner rotating bezel, and a pressurized gasket and case back mechanism. Many brands utilized the case, including Longines, Universal Genéve, and Enicar. The Wittnauer example you see here features a black patinated dial, cross-hatched crowns with the brand’s signature “W,” and a white minute track.
