Longines Very rare Vintage Nautilus Tropical Dial 6921-1 Skin Diver 40MM Auto Wristwatch

Vintage The Iconic 1958 Longines Nautilus Tropical Dial 6921-1 Skin Diver 40MM Automatic Wristwatch.
This is a wonderful example of a highly prized Longines Nautilus Ref. 6921-1 Skin Diver.
Original Tropical Dial would've been absolutely amazing but unfortunately it has a line going from the 1-5 position keeping it from have an almost perfect evenly aged Dial.
The original clear coating on the dial is flaking giving the dial a metal flake affect.
Hands appear to be absolutely original with all lume intact although nothing glows anymore.
The minute hand is darker, but under close inspection I'm pretty sure it's just aged more than the hour hand.
Original Unpolished Stainless Steel Case
The Frame has minor nicks and scratches, but still maintains it's original factory lines and finish.
It looks like the original owner could've been a welder because there is a tiny spec of weld in between the crown and Lug on the side of the case.
The Case Back has the Raised Skin Diver with spear Logo.
The gasket is more than likely original. There is some light pitting around the inside edge of the frame where the Case back gasket meets up to the case.
The watch will come with the Case back only Hand tight as this watch is a collectors piece.
If your planning to wear this on a daily basis I'd suggest replacing the case back gasket and sealing it properly.
The Crystal was replaced which I believe I may still have the original cracked one.
The Crosshatch Crown is a replacement with a new stem.
I do still have the original crown but unfortunately the outer Crosshatch shell has worn off.
The Bezel. Not original!!
Obviously I had this bezel made because the originals were Bakelite, cracked and fell off.
The bezel isn't bad I'm sure one could be made much better and closer to the original, but it works. Turns a little easier than one would like, doesn't quite match up to the numbers perfectly although not bad.
Dots on the outer track from approx. The 35 mark get closer to the inside edge up until past the 45 then starts getting back on track again.
