For Sale is this Leonidas By Heuer Triple Date Moon Phase 35 mm CIRCA 1950 Steel
Leonidas is considered an early founding father of Heuer (even before Tag Heuer was founded); so it's technically looking at the grandfather of today's Tag Heuer (Swiss). Rare triple date moon phase combination watch. Beautiful all original bicolor dial and gold indexes. The 1950s. The functions are: date (hand), hour, minute and second hand, month and day display window and moon phase. Nice blue moon phase, not faded. The watch has 4 push buttons for quick and functional setting of the day, date, month and moon phase. The sun, date and moon phase move together. The dial, indexes and pointers are also in good condition. The time (minutes/hours) is regulated by the main crown. The other mentioned functions are controlled by the 4 side sliders of the housing (2-2 on each side; left and right). The watch runs fine, the date functions work. Leonidas Bydinator Felsa 693 The automatic movement dates back to the 1950s. The Felsa 693 caliber, also known as the Bidynator, is the first automatic caliber with a flywheel rotor on both sides. In 1942, a polarized gear-based mechanical switch created movement in the direction of flywheel movement. Diameter without crown 35.2 mm X 42.2 mm. Stainless steel (tissot) back. Stainless Steel bracelet with extra links as shown in pictures. |
