A gents 1950s Zodiac Autographic wrist watch with power reserve indicator.
The watch has a AS 1424N automatic movement which is working nicely. The rotor is signed with the Zodiac name. The watch measures 32.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32.5mm high excluding the lugs. The case is gold plated and there is some wear to the plate along the angled edges. The screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, this should not be relied upon. The Crystal is in lovely condition. The watch has an interesting look with original shaped hands, red centre seconds hand and a power reserve with up and down indicator. The reserve is calibrated to 0, 12, 24 and 36 hours. There is a little marking to the dial and perhaps some discolouration but overall it has a charming appearance. A new red leather strap has been fitted. Comes with Generic Watch Box |
