A scarce Abercrombie and Fitch stainless steel “Shipmate” model circa 1940’s a military watch. Featuring a 32mm screw back case with sloped extended lugs. With very pleasing original 2 tone white dial with full Arabic numeral radium indexes and wide pencil style luminous hands. Dial is the rare version with 24 hour markers . The dial shows off some impressive caramel patina, giving an already impressive looking watch, just a touch more to look at. Powered by 17 jewel bumper wound AS 1081 caliber with subsidiary seconds. The dial is bright and lively and has a great vintage appearance. Recently serviced and offered on sporty or fine leather strap.
